Mastership
Achieving Mastership (MAGD) is a professional designation within the Academy of General Dentistry beyond Fellowship (FAGD) and reflects a general dentist's ongoing commitment to provide the best possible patient care through intensive continuing education. Masters have been trained by the best to be the best.
A member achieving this distinction has completed a challenging, comprehensive course of hands-on study in 16 dental disciplines, totaling 1100 hours of continuing education (600 additional hours after FAGD). More than 1,300 members have achieved Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), the highest distinction that a member can achieve through our continuing education program. Masters celebrate their professional accomplishment during a Convocation ceremony and at the AGD Gala held each year at the Annual Meeting.

About AGD Mastership
MasterTrack Program
MasterTrack is a series of continuing dental education courses designed to provide dentists with the appropriate number of participation credits required for the Mastership Award (MAGD), provided they already have their Fellowship. However, Fellowship is not required to enroll in MasterTrack (see Frequently Asked Questions .pdf).
Georgia's MasterTrack program is among the best in the nation. Renowned instructors, small class size, and intensive hands-on study - it adds up to the best possible continuing dental education.
The format of the Georgia MasterTrack program makes acquiring hard-to-find participation courses easier and more affordable. Dentists who complete the Georgia MasterTrack will earn over 600 hours of continuing education credit, including over 450 participation hours.
Instructors from all over the world are brought in to Atlanta to lecture and guide participants in each modality. The enduring camaraderie that develops within the class is what makes this format so unique. |
