"Participating in MasterTrack has been the most important professional decision that I have made since graduating from dental school. Aside from the knowledge that I have gained, the friendships that I have made and the wonderful people that I have met over the past 10 years have changed my life."
- Michael Davis, DMD, FAGD - MasterTrack IV Participant

MasterTrackBecome an AGD Master (MAGD)

Georgia's MasterTrack program is among the best in the nation. Renowned instructors, small class size, and intensive hands-on study - it adds up to the best possible continuing dental education.

Achieving Mastership (MAGD) is a professional designation within the Academy of General Dentistry beyond Fellowship (FAGD) and reflects a general dentist's ongoing commitment to provide the best possible patient care through intensive continuing education. Masters have been trained by the best to be the best.

A member achieving this distinction has completed a challenging, comprehensive course of hands-on study in 16 dental disciplines, totaling 1100 hours of continuing education (600 additional hours after FAGD). More than 1,300 members have achieved Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), the highest distinction that a member can achieve through our continuing education program. Masters celebrate their professional accomplishment during a Convocation ceremony and at the AGD Gala held each year at the Annual Meeting.

"When I began this 5-year journey with our class, I had no idea how much I would learn or how much I would grow to value the friendships I've made. Thank you to everyone in the class for a great experience."

"Dentistry is my calling and to share it with dedicated dentists that have the same passion to be the best in our field has been so rewarding. As a mother with three small children, the GAGD MasterTrack program afforded me the ability to learn among colleagues without having to travel. Two years later, I can say, 'I really miss those weekends now'!"

Dina Giesler, DDS, MAGD
