The Ultimate Esthetics

Corky Willhite, DDS, FAACD
8:30am – 4:30pm

Composite is the most versatile material available for making minor or major changes in dental appearance. With proper technique, the function and longevity of composite rivals porcelain while providing benefits other materials can’t match. So why are so few dentists maximizing this potential? A dentist's success with basic operative restorations doesn’t always translate into success with more complex freehand restorations and full resin veneers. This comprehensive seminar will benefit each attendee by sharing an organized step-by-step approach that includes operative technique as well as vital diagnostic and marketing skills to achieve "Ultimate Esthetics" with composite bonding.

Learning Objectives

  • Step-by-step procedure for individual tooth changes (color change,Class IV's, and more)
  • How to provide solutions for common problems (worn teeth, diastemas, and more)

  • Dramatic Smile Makeovers - why porcelain isn't always the best option
  • Verbal skills that will gain patient interest and increase patient acceptance

Aesthetic Orthodontics – A Discerning Approach

Tif Qureshi, BDS

Tif Qureshi, BDS
4:30pm – 6:00pm
1.5 Hours Lecture Credit

Aesthetic orthodontics has provided a real alternative to aggressive cosmetic dentistry for many patients , however, in some cases the lack of planning, consent and case selection have come in for criticism. This lecture will aim to highlight a system of safer planning and technique that is appropriate to all dentists, with the goal of understanding what is appropriate to treat and when to refer.

Tooth misalignment is something that is also continually getting worse and has more than just aesthetic compromises. Occlusal, functional, periodontal problems can all be worsened by orthodontic problems. This lecture will outline how a general dentist can intercept and treat these cases easily and at an appropriate time offering huge aesthetic improvements as well as intercepting early functional problems.

This presentation will also cover clear protocols for the sequencing and timing involved in rapid pre-alignment techniques used before minimal and non-invasive aesthetic dentistry.

Progressive and ethical techniques for accurate and measured space creation involving progressive inter-proximal reduction as well as combined expansion techniques will be addressed.

It will also show how new technology allows us to plan, preview, consent and execute cases far more predictably and safely.

Tif will put forward system of techniques, that when used in combination will deliver minimum invasion, maximum effect. These are procedures that can be offered to any suitable patient with the confidence that risks are low, success is achievable, and profits are worthwhile.

  • ABB - Alignment, bleaching, bonding
  • Arch planning for occlusion - 3D printing
  • Interceptive orthodontics for function and aesthetic
